As we celebrate graduation, we reflect with joy on the goodness and faithfulness of our God throughout this academic journey. This milestone marks not only the achievements of our students but also the evidence of God’s work through the entire Central Seminary community—students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends. We are deeply grateful for your prayers and support as we continue our mission of assisting New Testament churches in equipping spiritual leaders for Christ-exalting, biblical ministry.
We have found that this exercise helps students in multiple ways. It gives them an opportunity to pull together the strands of the system of faith so that they can view it as a whole. It helps them to come to conclusions on issues that they may have been pondering. It also helps them to learn to say things in careful and precise ways. For some students, this is the point at which they move from passively being taught theology to genuinely doing theology for themselves.

2025 Academic Awards
Zondervan Awards
These awards are presented annually to students who demonstrate excellence in Greek, Hebrew, and theology during the preceding school year. Zondervan Publishing House sponsors this award, which includes a substantial reference book and the placement of the recipient’s name on a perpetual plaque in the library.
The award winner for the New Testament is Mr. Joshua Bunger, and the award for Theology is Mr. Daniel O’Brien.
Senior Academic Award
The Senior Academic Award is given to the Master of Divinity Senior, among those graduating with honors, who has achieved the highest GPA for their entire seminary training.
This year’s Academic Award recipient is Mr. Brandon Carmichael.
