Central Baptist Theological Seminary is pleased to announce that its accreditation has been reaffirmed for the maximum 10-year term by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS). The renewed accreditation extends through July 31, 2035.
The reaffirmation follows a comprehensive evaluation process, which included a site visit, self-study, and review by the ATS Board of Commissioners at their June 2025 meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In their official communication, ATS commended Central Seminary for several key strengths:
- Strong donor support that sustains the seminary’s mission
- An efficient and dedicated team working in close partnership with our founding church
- A clear commitment to training church leaders through biblically grounded scholarship
The reaffirmation also includes continued approval for all of Central’s degree programs, including the Master of Divinity, Master of Arts (Theology), Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling, Master of Theology, and Doctor of Ministry. ATS also reaffirmed Central’s approval for offering comprehensive distance education.
The next comprehensive evaluation by ATS is scheduled for spring 2035. Learn more about accreditation on our Recognitions page.
